Albert Morrow, a Marine Corps veteran, educator, and freelance writer, has feature stories and articles in the newspapers of Rust Media and the magazines of Best Version Media.

His first book in the Dix Dereuse series, High Plains Haunting and Other Tales of the Paranormal West, was released in 2025. The July 2025 issue of the fanzine, Eldritch Science, featured his short story, No One Noticed.

Morrow's Dix tale, A Trail's End Reckoning, won an Honorable Mention in the 94th Annual Writers Digest Short Story Competition in 2025. That same year his story, Miswritings in the Dark, won an Honorable Mention at the White County Creative Writers (WCCW) Conference. In 2024, he won a First Place Award from WCCW with his story, The Cursed Cabin of Cat’s Holler. He received an Honorable Mention in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest for his novella, Widow’s Lament, in 2023.

He lives in an historic river town in southeast Missouri with four rescue cats who don’t get along.
